Dearest FWC Friends and
Supporters,
Rejoice! The Lord lives and
His love, mercy, and faithfulness endure!
Freedom Women’s Center’s
first resident child on-site, Jacob, has
come and gone. When asked what his birthday
wish was as he blew out his candle, 10-year
old Jacob sweetly responded, “For my mom to
have happy feelings.” He must have gotten
his birthday wish – we are in awe at the
major transformation that has taken place in
his mom since his month-long visit. Jacob
left FWC with Jesus Christ and allowed all
of us to witness the faith of a child.
Meanwhile, our two students
who started in Phase I with us, Denise and
Floyce, celebrated one year yesterday at
FWC! Floyce is in 4th Phase,
ready to serve, and is asking God for
direction in her life. Denise, our very
first mom with young children came in a year
ago crying everyday for her children who
live in the area. Denise is expecting
another baby due next month and is now
rejoicing in God’s answered prayers as her 4
1/2 year-old, Ryder, and 2 year-old,
Dresden, increase their overnight visits
here at the center.
God is faithful! As we move
forward and continue to build support for
the Women’s with Children’s Home, we are
reminded of the power of prayer and faith.
In one accord, Floyce and Denise had spent
many days and nights praying over the house
next door for a women and children’s home
some day. Little did we expect God opening
the doors for us to rent this house in less
than a year since we opened the women’s
center and starting us off with a Jacob!
Thank you, once again, for
sharing your life with us, one more month,
and allowing us to minister to 10 women and
3 children in the month of June on your
behalf. Thank you for the opportunity to
share Jesus Christ and the HOPE He brings.
